While beach clean-up programmes are often conducted across Malaysia, many remain one-off initiatives with little follow-up on the data collected. Project: Shore Up! aims to bridge this gap by conducting five beach clean-up series, systematically collecting and analysing waste data, and reporting the findings to local municipal councils to support future environmental initiatives. To further strengthen the project’s impact, we will organize five online workshops on ESG, CSR, and environmental sustainability, bringing together university students and local experts to promote knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and collective action among Malaysian youth towards creating cleaner and more sustainable coastlines.
