Singapore Aging Society Webinar: Singapore Technologies for an Aging Society

Date held

The demographic shift towards an ageing population is an important challenge shared by both Japan and Singapore. Japan has been addressing this issue for a longer period and on a larger scale, accumulating extensive experience and practical knowledge. Meanwhile, Singapore is contributing through the introduction of advanced technologies and the provision of new perspectives in responding to this changing social landscape, and both countries are expected to work together to tackle the challenges they face.

Against this backdrop, the ASEAN-Japan Centre and Enterprise Singapore Tokyo Office have planned to co-organise a webinar entitled “Singapore Technologies for an Ageing Society” in FY2025, in collaboration with the Singapore-based social enterprise “Ageing Asia”.

Ageing Asia, established in 2012, is Asia’s first ageing market consultancy social enterprise with the mission to change the future of ageing in the Asia-Pacific region. The company organises conferences focused on ageing societies in Singapore and other countries, and has built a strong network with nursing home operators and related service providers. In this webinar, Ageing Asia is scheduled to provide key market insights and industry trends.

Furthermore, this webinar will feature innovative Singapore companies with cutting-edge technologies such as Neurowyzr, Buddy of Parents, SoundEye, Eyo andDex-lab which specialise in solutions including dementia and brain function screening, acoustic fall detection (monitoring) sensors, emergency response support, as well as humanoid robot for elderly care. Each company is scheduled to introduce their respective technologies.
