The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce (Department of Consumer Affairs), Republic of the Union of Myanmar, will convene an Integrated Multi‑Stakeholder Workshop on Food Safety and Export Readiness under the programme “Building Export Readiness through Food Safety Development in Myanmar’s Agri-Food Sector.”

Food safety is essential for accessing high‑value markets. This workshop will gather farmers, producers, crop traders, exporters, policymakers, government officials, and laboratory representatives from Myanmar to share practical, step‑by‑step guidance on safe production, handling, documentation, and testing of agricultural products. If you are one of these stakeholders, we encourage you to join this workshop!

Participants will learn how good agricultural practices (GAP), integrated pest management (IPM), safe pesticide use, simple record‑keeping, and a clearer understanding of food testing and laboratory results can help meet market and export requirements, including those for Japan.
