Lecture on “Interactions between People & the Promotion of Tourism in ASEAN”
The Centre has conducted 2 on-sites ASEAN lectures at the Saitama University.
During the 1st lecture, staffs from the Trade & Investment Division explained in details regarding the formation of the ASEAN community, the ASEAN-Japan relations, advantages of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) & the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and other relevant topics. The students also asked many questions such as the ASEAN’s future visions, the possibility of monetary unification and so on, indicated their high concerns and interests in the ASEAN region.
On the 2nd lecture, staffs from the Tourism & Exchange Division delivered a lecture on the interactions of people and the sources of tourism in ASEAN. The importance of tourism to the ASEAN’s economics as well as the strategies of promoting tourism were also explained based on the unique charms of the 10 ASEAN Member Countries. The students shown keen interests, particularly regarding the interactions of people and the eco-tourism.
