The Cockrell family, long-term residents of Penang Hill, played a key role in the successful bid, envisioning a nature park that would captivate visitors while safeguarding the delicate ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Habitat Group, founded by the family, embarked on a journey to transform the hill. The Penang Hill permanent rainforest reserve is a treasure trove, home to over 2,500 documented species. The Habitat Penang Hill prioritizes conservation, ensuring this delicate ecosystem remains intact. Revenue generated from services, admission fees, and paid activities contributes to the park\u2019s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A portion of the revenue is shared with the Penang State government, fostering a symbiotic public-private partnership that benefits both the local community and The Habitat Penang Hill.
