Observation:
The 30th Japantex Interior Trend show is an exhibition of interior design, decoration and home textile.
Winning designs of 2011 Interior Design Competition and Tohoku project by interior style group was shown
at the exhibition. Interior designs related to Ecology, Health, Health Care and Education were also displayed.
One company from Vietnam also participated in the event. The company specializes in silk products such as cloths,
scarf and tie. The exhibiting items of other participants are mostly carpets, curtains and blinds. Sound proof windows,
which can restrain incoming traffic noises and heat, were also displayed. These windows can be installed adjacent
to regular ones, as an addition. Wood flooring of both real wood and vinyl,and software programs for interior design
were also exhibited. International carpet exhibitors displayed Persian carpets from Iran and various carpets from China,
while domestic carpet producers displayed wool carpets, which are light weight and eco friendly.
Chinese companies handling various products such as blanket, carpet and curtains participated in the event.
In addition, students of Otsuma Women’s University participated in the information booth, where the students explained
their research on the quality of the new textile, in order to make t-shirts for children in the Tohoku region. Overall, the majority
of the exhibitors gave emphasis to the ecological and environmentally friendly products.
Although most of the displayed categories are similar, the products are differentiated by the quality, design and the contribution
to ecology and environment.
