 This is the fourth year of participation for the Centre at the “interiorlifestyle” and thirty exhibitors from ASEAN Member Countries were invited by the Centre to showcase their products as recommended by Japanese Experts, Messrs. Junya Kitagawara of Art Resources Inc., Kohei Takata of Essence Company and Yoshio Namura, Need’k Inc.  The Centre invited ASEAN Ambassadors, Representatives of ASEAN Trade Promotion Organizations, ASEAN Trade Working Members and the above mentioned Experts to the ASEAN Pavilion Tour on the opening day, June 2, 2010.  Mr. Yoshikuni Ohnishi, Secretary General of the Centre expressed his appreciation for their kind cooperation for this project.

   ASEAN pavilion was highlighted by two special settings, one was a showcase of selected products among all the exhibit items featuring a theme “ASEAN Style: new & natural”.  The other was a showcase of newly developed prototypes which were the result of “Design & Product Development Workshop in Cambodia and Lao P.D.R.”

Among all items, crystal lamp of Moise Inc. Pte. Ltd. from Singapore had drawn the most attention from Japanese buyers.

Compared with FY 2009, the total number of business meetings for 3 days increased 50% and estimated sales increased 2.5 times, although total number of visitors to the interiorlifestyle decreased.  It is expected to further expansion of business between the ASEAN countries and Japan.
