Introduction of ASEAN Materials to the Japanese Fashion Business

Summary

The project is a collaboration between the ASEAN-Japan Centre and Bunka Fashion College, a prestigious fashion school in Japan. The Centre will introduce ASEAN (in FY 2014 to Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., and Malaysia) materials that are still not widely known to the Japanese market using the soft power of Japanese youth. The purpose of the project is not only promotion of ASEAN materials and Japanese design, but also networking between the ASEAN and Japanese fashion industries and a deepening of understanding among Japanese youth toward ASEAN culture and society.
