Report of the Second Fashion Goods & Accessories Expo

1) Product category: products are a mix of fashion items.  There are varieties of products ranging from shoes, bags, and fashion accessories such as necklaces, iphone covers and watches. 

2) Number of exhibitors: 78 exhibitors

3) Number of visitors (Previous year): 24,891 visitors registered to GiftEx 2010, which consists of 5 exhibitions, including the 1st Fashion Goods and Accessories Expo

Size of the Hall: it was a small sized exhibition held within one hall.  

Observation

This was the second time the fashion goods and accessories exhibition is being held.  The exhibitors are all Japanese companies, therefore it mainly target domestic market.  The size of the exhibition was small. Therefore, it is not ready for ASEAN countries to participate in the event.

2nd Fashion Goods & Accessories Expo

 

Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center)

 

Location: Tokyo big sight is situated in Ariake, Koto-ku.  Hotel Sunroute Ariake and Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel are located near the Tokyo Big Sight.   

Access: accessible to Kokusai-tenjijo Station by Rinkai line and to Kokusai-tenjijo-seimon station by Yurikamome line. Tokyo big sight is also accessible by bus from Monzen-nakacho, Toyosu, Hamamatsucho and Tokyo stations.

Size: There are 6 exhibition halls in the East Hall with the total of 51,380 sqm, while the 4 exhibition halls in the West Hall is 29,280 sqm 

Facilities: Tokyo Big sight is divided into 3 parts; East halls, West Halls and the conference tower.  There is a total of 6 halls in East hall, 4 halls in West Hall. The conference rooms on the first floor, which can be used as meeting rooms, can facilitate around 60 people each.  Conference rooms of various capacities are situated from 6th to 8th floor at the conference tower. Administration of the centre is managed by Big Sight Services Corporation. Restaurants, Convenience store, ATM machines and business centre are also provided.
