The 32nd ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2013) was held in Vientiane, Laos from January 18 to 24, 2013. The ATF is a cooperative regional effort to promote the ASEAN Region as one tourism destination where Asian hospitality and cultural diversity are at its best. This annual event involves all tourism industry sectors of the 10-member countries of ASEAN, which consists mainly of the Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers, Meeting of ASEAN National Tourism Organizations, Travel Exchange (business talk meeting) and Tourism Conference.
Mr. Yoshikuni Ohnishi, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Japan Centre attended the Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers and briefed ministers on the outcomes of tourism activities of the Centre. The Ministers expressed their appreciation to the Centre for its vigorous support in promoting ASEAN tourism.
The 33rd ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2014) will be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia from January 16 to 23, 2014 under the theme “ASEAN ADVANCING TOURISM TOGETHER”.
