Quality Service Training Workshop in ASEAN

  With the aim to improve quality of service provided to Japanese tourists visiting ASEAN countries, the ASEAN-Japan Centre conducts training workshops regularly, as part of the human resources development, for personnel working in the tourism industry. The training workshops were conducted in Penang in Malaysia, Yogyakarta in Indonesia and Manila in Philippines in June 2011.

  During the three-day training workshop held in each country, the training expert on tourism, Mr. Yama delivered practical training on “What is high quality service?”, “Guide Techniques” and “How to deal with complaints”. Mr. Fuchigami from the ASEAN-Japan Centre presented the trends of the Japanese overseas travel market and Japanese traditions & culture.
