ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) organized a seminar on “The Industrial Revolution 4.0: Importance of Technology and Innovation in Tourism” in Hanoi, Vietnam on September 4, 2018. The seminar was co-organized with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
The AJC had dispatched two experts from Japan to deliver presentations at the seminar. Mr. Koji Tsurumoto, CEO of Marketing Voice Ltd. shared the information on trends in Japanese people’s overseas travel as well as the digital tourism. Mr. Kenji Hayashi, President and CEO of Datasection Inc. introduced how to analise and use data collected from the social media (or social listening) to promote inbound tourism in Vietnam. A speaker from Vietnam, Mr. Ngo Minh Duc, Chairman of HG Holdings shared his experience on their online travel business, Gotadi.
Using IT and social media is becoming a more essential tool in Vietnam as well. 54 participants with keen interest in tourism attended the seminar and actively participated in the Q&A session.
