Tourism & Exchange Division invited management-level tourism stakeholders from the government and private sectors of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Malaysia to attend the Workshop on Accessible Tourism as follows: 

Date:   October 23-29, 2016 (inclusive of travel days)

Place: Tokyo and Toba, Mie Prefecture

Day 1 / Lectures

Updates on the Japanese Outbound Travel Market, Overview of Accessible Tourism, Japanese Government’s Approach to Accessible Tourism, Accessible Tour Products (domestic), Introduction of the Paralympic Games

Day 2

a.m.    Courtesy call on Japan Tourism Agency, Visit to TOTO Technical Center

p.m.    Country presentation on accessible tourism in the respective countries 

Day 3

Transfer to Toba and visit Iseshima Barrier Free Tour Center

Presentations by Iseshima Barrier Free Tour Center, Introduction of Accessible Tour Products (overseas) by travel agent

Inspection of accessible hotel rooms

Day 4

a.m.    Visit Toba Station and barrier-free tourism spots in the area

p.m.    Presentation on Tourism Attractions of Mie Prefecture
