Tourism & Exchange Division has organized a seminar, “How to Develop and Promote Community-based Tourism” in Da Nang, Vietnam, as a follow-up to the Technical workshop held in Tokyo, Nagano, and Gumma prefectures in June 2015 by inviting management-class tourism stakeholders from the government and the private sectors of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam.
The seminar was well-attended by local travel trade, hotels, local governments and media as a valuable occasion to provide information of Community-based tourism in Japan. During the panel discussion, panelists and the floor had an active exchange of views, which gave a productive opportunity to foresee the future of CBT in both countries.
