Report: Conducted the 4th ASEAN-Hiroshima Eco School in the Philippines (Education Programme on Marine Plastic Waste)

The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) (co-organized by Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and Hiroshima City Board of Education) conducted the 4th ASEAN-Hiroshima ECO School on January 19, 2022 at Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science in the Philippines.

Around 75 high school students (aged between 12-19 years old) participated in the online lecture, based on the Pilot Project on the Pilot Project on “ASEAN-Hiroshima ECO School.”

In this project, “Future Leaders” who presented “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” conduct the lectures. For Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science, Ms. Valerie CORALES (from the Philippines, PhD student at Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences at Kyushu University) presented her lecture in English.
