Report: Conducted the 5th ASEAN-Hiroshima Eco School in Malaysia (Education Programme on Marine Plastic Waste)

The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) (co-organized by Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and Hiroshima City Board of Education) conducted the 5th ASEAN-Hiroshima ECO School on January 22, 2022 at MRSM in Malaysia.

854 high school students (aged between 13-17 years old) from MAKTAB RENDAH SAINS MARA (MRSM) Schools participated in the online lecture, based on the Pilot Project on the Pilot Project on “ASEAN-Hiroshima ECO School.”

In this project, “Future Leaders” who presented “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” conduct the lectures. For MRSM, Ms. Yasmin FAUZEE (from Malaysia, Phd student at Graduate School, Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, major in Applied Stress / Microbiology) presented her lecture in English.
