ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) conducted the 4th Online Lecture for the Hiroshima ASEAN Eco-School for Marine Plastic Waste Education (Pilot Programme) on October 6, 2021 at Hiroshima Nagisa Senior High School. Around 30 senior high school students between the age of 16 and 17 participated in this online lecture. This Programme is co-organized by Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by the Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and Hiroshima City Board of Education.
In this Programme, the “Future Leaders” who developed “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” in connection with AJC’s FY2020 Programme volunteered to serve as lecturers for online lectures. For Hiroshima Nagisa Senior High School, Ms. FUJIKAWA, Machiko (Department of resources and environmental engineering, Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University) presented her lecture in Japanese. Followed by Ms. Fujikawa’s lecture, Dr. Naoki HOSAKA (Project Professor, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, University of Tokyo) gave an expert lecture.
