ASEAN Pavilion
The number of exhibitors participated in Interiorlifestyle from oversea was 172 in this year, including Pavilions of ASEAN, Philippines, Portugal, Italy, Dutch, France and Collaboration booths of Taiwan, Malaysia and Finland with the Trade Authorities concerned.
The opening day of the fair, The Secretary General of The ASEAN-Japan Centre (located in Minato-ku) invited ASEAN Ambassadors in Japan, Secretary of DTI of Philippines to ASEAN Pavilion Tour. Mr. Yoshikuni Ohnishi, Secretary General of the Centre, said that “New & Natural” was the theme of the ASEAN in this year, and participation in Interiorlifestyle set forth guidelines for ASEAN exhibitor's conduct to expand their share of Japanese trade.
Among the ASEAN Pavilion, there were potential companies which was selected by Mr. Junya Kitagawara, Art Resources Inc., who cooperated with Market Access Program of the ASEAN-Japan Centre,
Prima Putra Bengawan, Indonesian Furniture maker was joined this fair first time. They exported their products to Dutch and India, and joined this fair to seek new market.
Size of their furniture was rather small to meet Japanese Market’s demand. Their products were admitted by FSC, because the furniture made from Re-cycle woods, such as bridge, railroad tie and house.
Siorn Handicrafts was a fabric maker of Lao P.D.R. and they deal in their products to domestic market in Lao P.D.R , France, UK, USA and Canada. This is the forth participation for ASEAN-Japan centre and 1st participation of Siorn. They did not have any sales change to Japan yet, however, expected to sell to “Kimono” store in Japan.
