Focus of public attention in the South East Asia
Introducing three designers/designer group
Many products surrounding us come from Southeast Asia countries (ASEAN). In the past, we thought ASEAN is the countries where provide stable low cost products by inexpensive labors. However, through this trip, I am awakened that the role of the ASEAN member countries have been changed as the hub of fashion and design industry. There are many outstanding young designers those who cultivated abilities in Milan, London, and Tokyo in the field of interior design industry. They are like an unpolished diamond. Cultivating their minds by working hard, they are improving together. It is certain that some will be prominent designer in the world in near future.
Introducing: Anon Pairot, one of the outstanding designer in Thailand,
Cilicon Faytory, Design group of Singapore.
Nathan Yong, Designer in Singapore
High Expectation of “made in ASEAN” products
In the past, ASEAN had been receiving design from overseas.
Recently, designers in ASEAN are rapidly achieving high levels of design abilities. Especially, in-house designers are developing their ability. If they would entry into world market, we could not take our eyes off design and product development in ASEAN.
As design has been improved, “made in ASEAN” will soon be admired and get into the limelight as Japan and European brands do. These “made in ASEAN” products will be seen in the “Interiorlifestyle 2010” in the Tokyo Big Sight from June 2nd.
