Introduction

TRADE PROMOTION PROGRAM

To accelerate and enhance export from ASEAN Member Countries to Japan, the Centre introduces ASEAN products and services by hosting Trade Missions with Business Meetings at its “ASEAN-Japan Hall”, as well as by participating in international trade exhibitions held in Tokyo and other cities in Japan.

The Centre dispatches Japanese experts to ASEAN Member Countries to assist their Trade Promotion Organizations in selecting products for exhibitions that have market potential in Japan.

During the activities of Trade Missions with Business Meetings, the Centre invites exhibitors to Tokyo to enhance their business opportunities by engaging in direct business contact with Japanese business people.

MARKET ACCESS SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Centre provides a wide range of data and information regarding trade between ASEAN and Japan, ranging from trade statistics to import regulations in Japan to assist business people seeking business opportunities with ASEAN Member Countries.
Since fiscal year 2009, more activities had been added to further assist ASEAN exporters to penetrate and enhance their business dealing with Japanese buyers. The Centre provides information on market trends in Japan and requirements for priority products by arranging seminar in ASEAN countries together with production and distribution of information materials.
In addition, the latest information on ASEAN products and exporters are introduced via the Centre's website on which a directory of ASEAN exporters is found and links to Trade Promotion Organizations in ASEAN Member Countries.
